Biofabric

Biosteel® is the latest futuristic fabric that was created by German manufacturer AMSilk. They collaborated with sportswear company Adidas who introduced the world's first performance shoe made from Biosteel ® fiber. It is a replication of natural silk. AMSilk is the world's first industrial supplier of synthetic silk biopolymers and claims that it is the strongest natural material ever. It is 100% biodegradable in a fully natural process and it is 15% lighter than any other synthetic and natural fiber. The shoe is called Adidas Futurecraft Biofabric. When the shoe will be put in contact with a high concentration of the digestion enzyme 'Proteinase" it can decompose within 36 hours. Pics: www.wired.com
